Paranoia Takes Its Till

Liam Hemsworth is getting some pretty-boy company in Paranoia.

Lucas Till, from X-Men: First Class, is being courted for a supporting turn in the espionage thriller.

The casting of Till would bring the up-and-comer count for this Robert Luketic-directed movie to two.

Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman reportedly are thisclose to signing on the dotted line as well.

Keane’s Shining Moment

Keane are back – and their new video is giving me the chills.

Well...not really, but the band is going for a horror-movie homage thing, and, in a way, it’s a good, fun visual for the sound of their latest single, “Disconnected,” off their latest album, Strangeland. Click here to check it out.

Anyway, the video was shot in a real haunted house in Barcelona and co-directed by Spanish directors Juan Antonio Bayona and Sergio G. Sanchez, the helmers of the 2007 horror movie The Orphanage.

The Gos’ Bang Moment

Ryan Gosling literally made me choke on a bite of my Pollo Tropical sandwich and let out an “Oh my God!” through a mouthful earlier today when I saw this picture of him walking into LAX.

I mean, I know gun control is an issue in America – but not when it comes to the Gos’ arms.

Bang bang...he can shoot me down whenever he likes.

Who Runs the Show

The New York Giants quarterback has been tapped to host Saturday Night Live on May 5. This will be his first time running the live-from-New York show, but his second time in Studio 8H (he made an appearance on SNL in 2007 when his brother Peyton played host with the most).

Rihanna will make her third appearance as musical act that night.

The funny thing is, with the rumors of Andy Samberg’s departure gaining strength, I was afraid we would never see her playing the badass sidekick to his Shy Ronnie. I guess the universe is taking care of that concern of mine.

A World Without the Dowager Countess

Say it isn’t so!

Julian Fellowes, the creator of the wildly addictive PBS hit Downton Abbey, has confirmed that Maggie Smith, a.k.a. the awesome Dowager Countess, has expressed a desire to leave the show after its third season.

Evidently, the actress feels that three seasons is enough, she wants to focus on her stage and film work (do look out for her Best Exotic Marigold Hotel next month, and she wants to leave the party while the party’s still going strong (so she can leave them wanting more – smart lady).

Fellowes reportedly managed to persuade the dame to come back for the show’s Christmas special following Season 3, though, so the countess might not be the one who bites the dust next time we see Downton Abbey....

How could she – that lady is made of something else.

Short Fass

My favorite actor right now, Michael Fassbender, is going to Tribeca.

The Shame star plays a thieve in Pitch Black Heist, a buzzy, already-award-winning 14-minute short film that will make its Manhattan debut at the Tribeca Film Festival (which runs April 18-29).

I so wish I was going up there to be there for it and him (and to try to grab the guy – wait...did I just type that out...loud?).

Auntie Anne

It wouldn’t be a night on the Tinseltown if scoop weren’t to be found, and last night’s Golden Globes delivered Glee’s latest casting coup.

Anne Hathaway reportedly pitched a role (which she has been mulling over for some time) to the powers that be, and – whaddya know – they said OK.

The self-confessed Gleek is set to guest as the lesbian aunt of Kurt, Chris Col...make that Golden Globe winner Chris Colfer’s beloved character.

I think Hathaway will do great...and I believe this will be the perfect warm-up for a bigger role in a musical all her own some time down the line. Something like a Liza biopic. Think about it – the resemblance is uncanny.
