Simply Irresistible, Pt. 71

I have a confession: I’ve been resisting jumping on the Andrew Garfield bandwagon full on.

Alas, everything must change, and I am ready to take the leap and hang on for dear life.

I mean, have you seen the photos from his feature in Details? The newbie who would become Spider-Man has got it goin’ on!

Simply Irresistible, Pt. 46

What is a Tahmoh Penikett – and how do I get myself one?

That’s the only burning question I had after watching the first couple of episodes of Joss Whedon’s new Fox show, Dollhouse, which airs on Fridays at 9 p.m.

What a hot stud and a half!

If you ever thought you needed a reason to watch Dollhouse, I’ll give you one that comes with a six-pack (of abs): Penikett (who can also be seen on SciFi’s Battlestar Galactica, btw).

Simply Irresistible, Pt. 45

The last couple of episodes of TV’s Lost have continued to fascinate and boggle my mind, but this was made all the more enjoyable by the sight of Marc Menard, a too-hot-for-our-own-good dude playing one of -a-i-ll- R-u--e--’s countrymen.

It’s not right, but it’s OK that Menard’s sooo hot.

In the paraphrased words of Meryl Streep, somebody get him a movie or a TV show pronto!

Simply Irresistible, Pt. 31

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, you’re a hero.

And a handsome one at that.

Simply Irresistible, Pt. 18

I’ve been watching The Starter Wife – don’t judge me.

The mini-series – starring Debra Messing as Molly Kagan, an ex-wife of a Hollywood studio boss getting a hold of her life after her divorce – isn’t a broad comedy…but it is entertaining.

And, best of all, it co-stars the very handsome
Stephen Moyer as Sam, the sexiest homeless man ever to walk The ‘Bu, and one of Molly’s love interests.

Moyer soon will appear in True Blood, a new series from Six Feet Under’s Alan Ball.

Get to know him now.

Simply Irresistible, Pt. 17

He has popped in blink-and-you’ll-miss-him turns in films such as Kinsey, Jarhead, For Your Consideration, The Holiday, and Dreamgirls.

Earlier this summer, you heard him as Lancelot in Shrek the Third, and for the past three years, he has played the regular man’s man’s man on TV’s The Office.

On July 4, you will see him – oh, you better do – playing one half of a young couple about to be put through the most grueling marriage preparation course ever in License to Wed, a rom-com co-starring Mandy Moore (as his fiancĂ©e) and Robin Williams (as her family’s outrageous reverend).

He is the very tall and handsome – and very talented – John Krasinski, and I dare you not to heart him.

Simply Irresistible, Pt. 16

Scottish band Travis released their new album earlier this month, but it wasn’t until yesterday that I found out about it. Thank you, Ellen DeGeneres, for booking them on your show.

I’ve read very mixed reviews of their new album, The Boy with No Name, but after hearing them perform “Selfish Jean,” I think Travis may have shot to the top of my Summer Want List.

They are, after all, the grandfathers, if you will, of bands such as Coldplay and Keane. I have a couple of their singles, but never got around purchasing a full CD. It just might be time to finally do so, for they are, indeed, rather enjoyable.
